WingSwept Again Recognized as a Best Place to Work in the Triangle in 2020

While 2020 has been completely different than anybody could have predicted, one thing has held true, WingSwept was again recognized with Best Places to Work awards.

Business North Carolina magazine named WingSwept the #1 Triangle-based company in the Medium Employer Category (50-249 employees), and #4 in the state of North Carolina in their 2020 Best Employers in North Carolina awards.  Triangle Business Journal tabbed WingSwept as the #4 Medium Company (50-99 employees) in their 2020 Best Places to Work Awards.  This is the eighth year in a row that we have been recognized as one of the best places to work in the Raleigh area.

We don’t set out to win awards like these, but we do strongly believe that it takes great employees to deliver great results, and that it is our team that sets WingSwept apart. We foster a unique and exciting environment where our employees’ ideas are valued. We place an emphasis on our core values – WingSwept employees are Honest, Eager, Accountable, Respectful, and Team Players. We have a strong focus on culture and fellowship that is exemplified not just in company events and programs, but also during our day-to-day interactions and how we treat each other.

From the beginning of the pandemic, all of WingSwept has bonded together under the rallying cry – BuffaloUp. Unlike most animals, buffaloes run directly into and through a storm to shorten its impact. Most animals run away from it and are then punished for much longer.  We continue to run into the storm and to #BuffaloUp!

#buffaloUP

This year has been especially difficult because we haven’t been able to gather together since March or to break bread during our Feasts of Fellowship, which typically happen every month. But we made the decision very early on in the pandemic that the health and safety of the WingSwept team is critically important and we have only had a small group of employees at the office to carry out the functions that cannot be done from home. We have stayed connected virtually, including through virtual scavenger hunts, Mario Kart competitions, fitness groups, lunches, and other daily connections and events. We even did a socially distanced drive-in movie in our parking lot!

We are really proud of the WingSwept team for continuing to #BuffaloUp in 2020 and we look forward to the time when we can all be back together in the office. Our next Feast of Fellowship is going to be amazing!
