Mark Hurst
Senior Governance Risk and Compliance Consultant

Mark retired from the U.S. Navy in 2011 after serving for 26 years as a Cryptologic Officer. While on active duty, he completed a tour as a Vice Presidential Communications Officer at the White House and as an Information System Security Program Manager for the Navy’s NSA affiliated systems at Fort Meade, Maryland. After retiring, he pursued a similar path in industry, providing specialized intellectual services to a major U.S. Agency CISO and working as a Project Manager for compliance related programs for two U.S. Federal and State Health care initiatives. Tragically born a New York Jets fan in the Joe Namath era, he is also the father of two adult children and now resides with his wife of 30+ years (Kim), in rural Newbern, Virginia.
